Ruaha National Park

Ruaha is Tanzania's second biggest National Park. Created in 1964 and covering 10.300 sq. km, it lies in the centre of the country, just west of the Iringa highlands.

It takes its name from the great Ruaha River, which flows through the Park, creating spectacular gorges. The river is the home of hippos, crocodilles, water buffalo, red buffalo, water buck and reed buck.

In our photo gallery you will find some more pictures of the park.
